We’ll show you a few styles with black sweaters that have evolved a bit, I still love most of them.
I’m going to change these outfits with alternative necklines for this post. It doesn’t really matter what neckline you wear because it gives me more room to work with. Wear the neckline that flatters you the most since they are essentially outfit recipes.
The cornerstone for so many wonderful outfit options is an easy and practical black sweater, which is such a timeless winter wardrobe staple. Some of my favorites are included here.
Denim, a black sweater, and a pop of color
My all-time favorite clothing combo is black and denim, and there are so many ways to dress it up or down with shoes and other accessories.
Denim, a black sweater, and a neutral jacket
This taupe suede moto jacket is still in my possession. As I mentioned at the time, this jacket’s color and texture are ideal for dressing up a comfortable black cashmere turtleneck; it also looks excellent with a pair of mid-wash blue jeans. Grey, camel, or even burgundy or teal colored jackets, as well as others, would also look good.
Pencil skirt and a black sweater
I picked out this outfit from a previous Try-On Haul because I don’t currently have any dresses in my closet. Although I ultimately chose not to wear the dress, this shorter shape is popular for winter.
Puffer vest and a black sweater
I still adore this ensemble, and I’m little sorry I got rid of the burgundy puffer. The burgundy is a lovely change from all the neutrals I tend to favor at this time of year, and I enjoy the layering appearance.
Black pants and a black sweater
An all-black ensemble is timeless, and a few years ago I wore faux leather leggings with a soft black turtleneck sweater and black suede ankle boots.
